2hrs20 mins, averarge speed 94 mph , smmoth air except over the escarpment. climbing to 9000 ft solved that issue.
no wind on the ground, and hot as hell......see you all tomorrow 8)
Sounds great!! Hope you all have a awesome time, and fly safe!!! (^^) (^^) (^^)

Willie,

you are coming with a Thunderbird? Then we could be 2 of these this year.

Will fly from Bronhorstspruit tomorrow morning, pending Trevor fixing my mag-drop problem.

Hi Willie,

originally wanted to fly the T-Bird to Barberton. Then got passengers and planned to borrow a Arrow. Decided to do self-ramp-check before going: you guessed it: paperwork not in order. Now too late to go with T-Bird. So driving with car...
Looking at it in arears: maybe not too bad. Might have ended up in Maputo with all that wind.

Yes, would appreciate some tailwind. Naa, not too much. Just a bit. Fuel stops are a hassel...

Trevor Davies is busy today to fix a mag-drop problem. Hope it works out.

Looking forward to do some flying with you.

Cheetah 912s Rules....
Sat at 95mph indicated AS for the journey @ 5000rpm - Ground speed varied from 100 to 144mph
Circus to Numbi - 220miles completed in 1Hr 50 minutes check out my 296 Track if you need to....sorry Demon that's an average of 120mph.
Yes.....there was a strong tailwind, but EHY was exceptional cruising at the indicated 95mph.

Trikes also got busy over the escarpment.....again EHY soaked up the bumps for a great flight down here....

Miller's are flowing this arvie and looking forward to a Braai with the boys this evening.

Looks like a tailwind routing back on Sunday too....

Weather's here....wish you were beautiful.. (^^)
