Insurance NEW !!!!!!

Postby Bacchus » Mon Sep 01, 2008 7:00 pm

Hi guys. Just for what its worth. I have raised the topic a while ago with my fellow hanger mates at Wintervogel. I managed to get insurance for my trike " on the ground" . That means it covers everything while it is hangered like FIRE and STORM DAMAGE as well. I have just spoken with my broker to confirm this again. It is also with a very reputable and well known insurance company. He went through quite a lot of hassle to get it done so he knows exactely what to do to get it done.

I was lucky i am not at Contermanskloof, but as you can see THIS could happen so quickly and to everybody.
Once again, it does not cover you while actually flying, but the rest is covered. ( in the hanger). The beauty of this is the cost. Just over R120-00 per month for a trike of about R100 000-00.
He gave me permission to put his name and number here, so IF you guys are interested, give him a call.

It COULD save you lot of money for a SMALL amount per month.

Greetings,

Someone I spoke to only today says he insures his aircraft 'On the Ground'. Make sense to me, after all. The difference between 'Insure' and 'Assure' is one thing may happen, the other one will.

Bloody good premium rate as well may I add. !!!!

Coming to Africa soon

Called Ground risks Cover. Covers you for everything, except flying. (Think it even covers taxi accidents)

I had problems with NTCA type aeries i past KRII, Cubby etc. They are scared you rip the engine out and replace it with a lawnmower engine and then when they have to replace you claim for a 912 ULS.. Think things have changed slightly...

Suzanne Clark (Recreation Wings by Alexander Forbes) is the way to go! (^^) (^^) (^^) I've insured with them for the past 2 years. Never understood why many others chose not to in spite of me referring them to her.

It's seperate, dependant on the value of cover you want, 500k (R240 pa), 1mil (R360 pa), 2 mil (R600 pa).
