A/C and Folio log books

Postby LarryMcG » Thu Jul 24, 2008 8:04 am

Hi all

Am printing Flight folio log books, and a few A/c log books for myself.

Attached a pdf of the flight folio. Will be A5, bound, with 50 pages in the book.
Folio should cost R50.00, and A/C log book should be R75.00, excluding postage.

Can also do other kinds, if needed.

Let me know if anyone needs one.

Larry, moving to a 4 stroke, you may want to also add a column for oil uplift. Also add to the top of your page what grade of oil and fuel you are using. Unless you are expecting a snag/defect every flight perhaps want to remove that column and add say 1 or 2 lines at bottom for snag and a place to indicate that it has been fixed.

I know you probably weren't looking for comments on the design, so bring that lead sinker to tie to my feet and push me overboard at Woody Cape vhpy

Nice work Larry
Good to see the inspection reminder at the top.
Ditto on the oil uplift and also required is a column for the number of landings.
Can we see the logbook file?

Hi Larry,
Flight folios and aircraft logbooks are legal documents. You might consider getting input from the CAA that they are happy with the layout. Would be a pity if you spend time and money on this, and then some clerk at the CAA does not like it purely because they were not involved.

Regards,
Arnulf

Log Books will be standard LSI books, I.e.

Pg 1 LS1 details etc
Pg 2 Aircraft logbook, with registration etc
Pg 3 Owner history's
Pg 4 Registration of serial numbers ie, prop, engine etc
Pg 5 and 6, Ann inspection records
Pg 7, 8, 9 Record of overhauls or replacements
Pg 10 record of compass swings
pg 11 Summary of major defects
pg 12 record of work carried out
Pg 13, 14 record of airworthiness directives, mods etc

then 50 pages for records of flight times etc.
