On our travels some” unsung heroes” waiting to fight fires on the peninsula.
Note the body language of the ladies, they were chirping about payment for posing, in their mother tongue.
I then asked them to smile------ also in their mother tongue!!!

Thanks to Theuns, André, Hanni and Louis for all your patience and time, yes it took four people and some rattled nerves to get me this far, André is still recovering from that first taxi excercise.... and my ears are still ringing with the words... "balletjie"..... "balletjie".....! And then there was Ronnie. I still don't know if he is friend or foe, he HAD to come and watch every move I make with the pre-solo flights, from the balloons to the waxes to the solo itself, grinning from ear to ear. Ronnie went solo on the Bushbaby late December as well and now he could come and sit, watch and enjoy every moment seeing me sweat it off and then in no small measures emptied a full bucket of water over me, I'm sure he had some rank in his army days, it suddenly felt familiar to days gone by.

Surely a day to remember, thanks to all. Ronnie congratulations on your solo, sneaking it in quitely late December does not excempt you, the Wintervogel Waaiers will surely rise to the occasion.
