Radio Interference (Squelch)

Postby Guzz » Mon Nov 12, 2007 8:22 am

Hi Guys,

I need some help with my radio, perhaps Zulu can help out here again...

I'm getting terrible interference on my radio once airborn, usually about 500ft AGL. I've played around with the squelch on my radio (from right down to right up) as well as on my intercom. Adjusted the volume etc etc etc, no luck.

At first, about 4 hours ago, I only experienced it on Special Rules East for a few minutes, but now it's on all channells and all the time.

I have the Icom A3 with a Buzzcom intercom, and a GPS III, but have turned the power off the GPS and the problem persists.

Any ideas?

Interference

Hiya Guzz

I will guarantee to fix it but as a Doctor will ask I need specific symptoms, i have recently had a spate of "interference" from Am radio towers but not on the ICA 3. Only with the Vertex though. The GPS 3 gives no hassles and neither odes the ICA 3, they ar both reliable toys.

If you PM me your exact location relative to towers etc. and give me a call...lets see what we can find out ??
