GARMIN GPS III PLUS
I have an old GPSIII which I am now using in OZ. The internal baatery is now showing low. Is it possible to replace the internal battery personally or must it be done by the agent

It is soldered on to the circuit board. If you are handy with a soldering iron (and solder wick/solder sucker) it is not a problem. The unit is easy to open but I think you may have to desolder the co-ax cable to the BNC connector to open it up fully. A bigger problem may be getting a replacement lithium battery. I got mine from a collegue
