Now you just listen , friend of the big boned man. When ever you come down to cape town again, FORGET the lightweights there by Morningstar .
You see that you set foot at Wintervogel so that we can prove those legendary stories for you.
We can even get some of that "tax Forgetting copper distilled stuff" for you.
But you need to have HARE OP JOU TANNE for that.

Onthou, jy kan altyd staatmaak op n boer.

Set myself up for criticism, the windsock was getting thrown about. I just took the photo at the wrong moment.
The wind, she was there!!!

Hey, let me come to Graham's defence. The following GPS track, altitude and groundspeeds shows that we did have a bit of a crosswind!
(we landed on the taxiway - rather than the tarred strip)

Criticism never – not from my keyboard anyway.

Now go and have another glass of that “Tax forgetting stuff” that Bacchus brews in the big old copper kettle.

Wind in Cape Town can be frustrating.

Tip - If you can’t fly, have two glasses of that “Marriage curing stuff” that Bacchus serves.

Narrow wheels

Postby alanmack » Thu Oct 25, 2007 8:14 pm

See - the coast to coast video for what happened to Mike. Also we had a trike with narrow (Biscuit) tyres on the Wild Coast fly-away in June this year. The pilot let his tyres down and had nothing but 4 letter words to say about his beach landing experience - none of the 4 letter words was LOVE and he promised to not do it again!

None of the other trikes had even the slightest problem with the wide tyres and if you are not a heavy weight lad the smaller Raptor tyres have also been fine, in fact, even heavy lads with these small Raptor tyres(soft) have been ok if the sand is fine and hard. Where the beach has fine compacted sand, preferably below the high water mark, I suspect that even with narrow tyres you should be ok if you or a ground crew member of your team walk the beach beforehand to check that the beach sand is level and hard. The most problems arise where the beach has course sand such as I have found along the northern K Z-N close to Mozambique. Here even with wide tyres and with them let down the front wheel digs in before lift off - landings are fine.

fly safe

Getting out with my daughter in the front seat, different!! Had a good morning with Gert and Fransois, the others from Wintervogel did not venture as far out as what we did. See Gerts log.
A female member to sort out the “aasvoels” perhaps?
Some bumpy stuff on the way back but no ^?^ Thank heavens.
My instructions, open the flight suit zip, pull the suit away from you, puke in the gap !!!!!!!
Fly safely.

Hi Graham

All good in Sbok, not much flying on weekend though, the 'Tannie' and me only managed some 12 and 13 in morning. Had a good spin on friday evening. Lucas came to visit last weekend flew all the way on his own from AGG. Was good to see him.

Looking at the pic'c of you and daugter, a dream come true, to have your own chld in the front seat, will give anything to be able to convince mine to come. Good luck and teach her well.

Regards

Jannie

Greetings after a long absence. Been sliced and diced. Could not fly for a while.
Must say got a lot of sweeping and cleaning done in the hangar.
