Again I don't have great pics....but in essence I secure the controlbar in a "wing dead level" position to the front at the front fork bolt...and to the rear on the engine frame using rope hoops and 350kg Cambelt buckles. I do not over tension them! Important not to stress the airframe...

Next I knock two long eyebolts into the ground in front and at the rear of the cart to tie down the actual cart so it cant move up, down...forward or backwards. I also chock the wheels with whatever I can find on site.

I have pre attached ropes inside the wing inspections to then tie down the wing vertically to my homemade "Grippa" system...not a moer does that thing come out the ground...haha. Again...Do not over tension the tie straps! They just need to be firm...not taught.

So far...so good... but in a very strong wind/ or oncoming thunderstorm... I would remove the whole wing and put it flat on the ground. Have not had to do that yet fortunately. (!!)

I think what's also very important is to pick your spot?

You can see from Rafieks pics on that occasion they used the hanger for shelter from the wind/sun? :)

It's a good idea to ask the airfield owner or a local pilot where the "bad winds" or storm gusts normally come from?...Every area is different but with that in mind try if at all possible to park your plane with a barrier in between you and the info you have just been given? Hangers...trees....even a dumptruck will help a lot in this regard....

Shade for the Dacron is obviously first prize too! (!!) (^^)

UV is at its worst between 10am and 2pm...but there are very few airfields that will give you midday shade... ^

Very important to have a horizontal wing in anything more than 10 knt winds. Keep the A frame semi rigid, by using 10mm bungy cords. Above 20 knots take the wing off and collapse the A frame, tying the wing flat on the ground, facing into the wind. If not possible pack wind blocking obstacles behind the wash out of the wing.
