Boris is hosting his well known breakfast once again . Breakfast , coffee/ tea with rusks at Benic's airfield on Wednesday 16 December 2013, starting from 6am. All welcome.

Join overhead right hand downwind for 27 or left hand downwind for 09 (uphill)
Stay clear of house on N side and of chicken farm,
Hazard, power line on approach to 27 east side
Be aware of nearby FAWI active traffic (123.5)

Thanks Christo. Landing on 09, if possible, is recommended, as in the picture. 09 is slightly uphill and you stop at Mr Benic's facilities. But if you are use to Microland, with its power lines on 03 & 09, then 27 at Benic's should be no problem.

27 not cool. You will reach the threshold at around 6m agl, have to deal with rotors from the north westerly over the hangars and blue gums and probably reach touchdown halfway down the runway.
At this time of year the threshold of 09 can be a bit muddy so you will backtrack through it.
Also 27 will put you in conflict with traffic joining on finals 09.
