I am still not convinced that winglets can improve the performance of a Flexwing aircraft.Would be nice to see some diagrams of the windflow over a flexwing with the winglets on

I will be able to provide fairly accurate data once mine are fitted as on my last flight (6+ hours), without winglets, I conducted detailed testing on fuel efficiency at cruise with slow trim.

All things being equal, i.e. in the cruise, maintaining altitude, same airspeed, slow trim, the fuel consumption should be less!

I will report back in a week!

They WORK
At mid range revs my Aquilla flew at 43mph. Now flying at 47mph. With bar pulled in about 80 percent top speed of my trike was about 53mph. Now 64mph. It was in still air late afternnon. Aircraft more stable and take off run much shorter. Bar required less pressure to be pulled in. This is my experience on an Aquilla with a 503 and a heavy pilot. Aircraft much more stable too.
