Hey Andries, that would be great chom and prob the best option.... I'm wheels up as soon as it's legal! Prob around 05h15 or so....

Give Hans a call, lots of space in the communal hanger, would be great to have you join us!

See you Sat!

Sunrise is scheduled for 05h30....let's make that the take off time. :)

Routing north after TO to "grootdam", contact FAWK (prob not manned), route pinedene, R55 interchange. Exit FAWK airspace... Turn North, route via Gerotec (first ridge) and then str on to Kroon. (see their thread for joining/landing instructions)

Distance approx 33NM one way.

If we are more than 6 aircraft, I recommend two groups 5 min apart. Keep it tight if we can. :)

Went for a flip this morning and set a personal best ground speed - 88mph on 21 downwind leg  Turned finals and it felt like you fly into a wall.
I hope the WX plays nice for Saturday morning -0<

See you guys at 05:30 (^^)

Grobbie I can still remember that feeling. Comfort yourself in the thought that there will still be many, many more such events once you have your licence. The nicest part that I can remember was, funily enough, that I did not have to arrange with the instructor when I wanted to go and fly....I just went and flew. (**)

Agreed Paul...felt so weird not to have to "sign out"...almost like you've missed something on the preflight??

Grobbie, all in good time chom. Believe me, there will be the occasional flight where you wish you had those 5000 odd hrs sitting on the back seat still! (^^)

Ag nee Andries my maat...toe het die mis by Delmas jou laat skrik en jy het omgedraai. Fanie se FABA was oop. Ons het so uitgesien om jou by ons he vir Frydag aand. Sien jou more ogend by Microland. Jy sal heelwaarskynlik in die midag kan terugvlieg. Indien nodig, jy is natuurlik meer as welkom om by ons te kom oornag.

Manne, I can not believe it.....it is the Tailwinds 3rd Saturday of the monthly braai tomorrow (not postponed or brought forward) and the weather is not howling. Must be someones new years resolution that caused this (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^)

Very sorry chaps but I have had to make arrangements to go sort out a comeback tomorrow. It's a restaurant and I cant leave it till Monday. I should still make the braai though.

Very disappointed...

Be safe and enjoy the flight guys.
