This weekend is our monthly Tailwinds fly and braai....

See you all there.... fires start about 11AM, just bring your meat, honesty bar will be open (while stocks last!)

! would realy have loved to be present but due to the fact that I bought a trike with only 102 hrs on the engine and frame at Margate, the plan is to go and fetch it and then fly it back. It is a Raptor with a 80 litt tank....
My heart is full of pain for not being able to attend Numbie..( been there 5 yrs in a row and have flown there every time).
The quad camp is fully booked and I just cant figure a plan not to be there.!
Miskien dink a ek aan n plan...enige voorstelle in hierdie verband sal waardeer word.!

We had a great fly and braai. Very well attended. Thanks to all for attending. And of course Bundy for the charcoal and some braaiing. Also to the others who brought some additional salads. We could have just eaten salad and we would have been dik. Lots of meat and salad left over. Johannes, thanks and you can eat leftovers for a week Samalek

At the last braai we discussed for the next braai we would come up with of some logos or some sort of art work that will represent our club "Tailwinds" .. I've managed to arrange two big white sign boards 1500mm x 1750mm to be erect near the road at the front gate for our proud air field ...... the reality is, it needs information to show ALL who we are ....

Let's use this platform on sat the 14th Sep, bring some ideas rough art work and ideas to the table to start the ball rolling.... We are one after all in the skies....

For the Badge/Logo I just wish there were more ideas.

We came up with the following concepts in Feb...but whatever takes the vote, will be good with us. I really like the simplified microlight shadow, as in the bumper sticker on most enthusiasts vehicles.

Hey Turbo.

Main Runway is 03/21 430m long paved 2/3rds length. 30ft powerline on threshold of 03!

Options 2 is 17/35 350m gravel with no obstructions

Option 3: 09/27 280m long but only used in strong wind. No go around on 27 due to High Voltage pylons!

We often have cheetahs visit us, you should not have a problem at all. Most land 03 and take off on 21.
