In any case Bundy, you were doing your 100 hr flight.....so you wouldn't be flying low

Started my 300 Hrs inspection yesterday with replacing the rotary valve oil, radiator fluid and gearbox oil. What a mess (**) You can't stop the stuff from running onto the aluminium engine mounting plate and then dripping everywhere. With only 90 hrs on the gearbox oil I was amaized how dirty it was and how much black gunk (metal I guess) was trapped in the magnetic drain plug. Three things ticked off on the list.....20 to go.

Paul, will we have some sort of token system in place by next weekend? Episode 4 will need the fridge. vhpy

We can discuss it on Sat morning...DBP needs a serious wash. Also need to "fit" our training bars and make adjustments before I send them for powdercoating. 8)

We only have 16 people booked for Episode 4....waaaay short of the 30 target here....looks like we will not make much profit gents. :(

Will we ever get our braai?

Yes. This implies that the fridge will be a cashless honesty bar.

I am going out tomorrow..Friday....and most probably Saturday as well. My daughter, Dominique, is visiting from Cape Town and I want to take her for a flight tomorrow. Can you beleive it, she has never flown with me before...I think I am opening myself up for something with that statement. :o Go for it. She chickened out on Tuesday...I think she is scared. If it is super smooth, then maybe, she likes it so much she will come out on Saturday again. vhpy

Ok...report back. She joined me this morning :) Conditions were not perfect...10Knt SSE wind i.e. slightly cross on 21...but constant, so we went. I briefed her on what she should expect for the take off...the poping into the air (Aquilla style) and the piching of the cart and wing as she swings into the wind on rotation. Luckily the take off was text book and all I heared was..."WOW". :o "Are you OK Dom?".... "This is great Didi! vhpy vhpy We flew for about half an hour crabbing against the wind and climbing to smoother air. Luckily above 500ft it was smooth. I kept her ocupied (distracted) by pointing out the flamingoes, Spoon Bills and other water birds in the pans. (she is also a very keen birder, like me). The landing on 17, straight into the wind, (no chances please), was also good vhpy "Dom do you want to come fly again?", "That was great Didi...anytime". (^^) (^^) Sadly she is flying back to Cape Town this afternoon. I realy think I got the fear of microlighting out of her puff

See you guys at FABA tomorrow morning. WX looks better than today. (^^)

Had some nice flights this weekend. Thanks Dawid and Stef. Sorry we just missed Anthony at Rhino. Don't think you guys could see much of the dam. The breakfast was fast and good. (^^) Appologies for my unconventional approach on 27. The mist to the east on finals necesitated my short, steep approach. ## Dionne and myself are our own best cutomers at the fridge. We only left after 12. ## Dawid & Stef also helped reduce the stock, thanks!

Stef, your iPad is now also loaded. I will bring it with next weekend. puff

Replaced my plugs on Sunday. This time after the flight and killing the engine imditely after stopping (no ideling in the hangar) There is definitly a difference in colour if you do that compared to the colour after an extended idle (pitch black). Just goes to show how the engine carbons up when ideling and why it is a good idea to have autolube, which reduces the oil on idle to 70 to 1, and only ups the mix to 50 to 1 when needed above half throttle. (^^)
