What can you buy for around 200K

What can you buy for around 200K that compare with a Raven's specs.
I.e. Two seater tanduim side by side. 3x axel, no tail draggers. Cruise +/- 100mph. and where do I get it? :?

The only thing that comes to mind at that level of specifications is a Whisper motor glider. You can purchase the kit, engine and a few basic instruments for just on R200k.

But you will have to build it yourself. For an extra R100k there are two guys already building them for clients.

Aircraft was designed and kits produced right here in the Eastern Cape. Since they started production about 2 years ago, they have already delivered something like 38 kits, and 4 are already completed and flying.

You are able to select either nose or tailwheel versions in addition to long or short wings.

Self build or not?

100MPH cruise is quite high

The Skyranger is R215K incl built and about 180K unbuilt with motor and instruments

Bushbaby is about R273 incl built and about R165Kit

Cheetah - 284K incl built and R255K kit

Oribi (Savannah with 582 motor) - R193K incl built and R163K kit

Savannah (912) R263K built , R215K kit

Savannah(912s) R280K built R228K Kit

NOTE except for the Savannah these are all 582 powered planes. Add R58K for 912 and R73K for 912s

ALL Prices include VAT

Specs - weight, cruise, VNE
Skyranger - 235Kg, 85mph, 120mph
Bushbaby - 250KG, 90mph 125mph
Cheetah - 281KG - 90mph, 125mph
Oribi - 250kg, 75, 110
Savannah 912 - 272kg, 82.5, 110
Savannah 912s - 276kg, 90, 110

There is a pristine Challenger II 503 down here in CT, approx 100 hrs only TT, beaut have to say myself, would have bought it if I didn't already have one. :wink: :wink: o'ja, enclosed cockpit!

Klink na nie 'n te slegte opsie nie, het jy dalk vir my bietjie meer specks en is dit die moeite werd om 'n 582 in te sit? Wat is ook die verskil tussin die "clipped wing " en die long wing :roll: or something like that.
