And so it came to pass ...
....a great evening with fellow friends of the air was had by all. As I sat in the convoy of vehicle traffic along Hans Strydom, a very familiar sight met my eyes.... Three trikes on final approach, landing lights on. Curious onlookers gazed up at this unfamiliar sight overhead
What a sight it was to arrive at FASK, the Izuzu heavy laden with braai goodies and ales, (I will request the GPS co ordinates of the "lapa" next time

) the airfield abuzz with activity and preparations. Arriving a bit too early, my braai assistant (Thank you very much Tom!

) and I cracked a beer and headed for the flight line to enjoy some last minute practice sessions by the display pilots. Trikes of all shapes and colours could be seen in the distance arriving at Waterkloof while we had an Impala roaring overhead us....

.....Ubercool stuff
A great venue was given to the pilots for the braai and we thank the persons responsible for letting us use their facilities.
Three cheers for Les!!!!
Once again, you have risen to the challenge and made the effort to arrange what I think is such an awesome event. The fact that the guys were allowed to stay over this time has really made this a great addition to the many other "annual" (yes Sir....I'm afraid we will definately have to do this again!

) fly in's around the country...
I really hope I will be taking part as a pilot in the next one, but it was great to catch up with all my flying buddies....Hope you all at least got one Boerie roll

. We enjoyed a few drinks and then it was time to send all these pilots off for a good nights rest.....In the interest of safety, Tom and I decided that we should consume the rest of the beverages ourselves
PS: Could someone please give Madman a guided tour of the Pta region..... and at least explain to him where Atteridgeville, and Aero57 is
Rafiek....what a champion!
.... a real "GOTO" kind of guy
Enjoy it gents, be safe and have fun
