Hi everyone;
I also have only seen this today... I get paid tomorrow and I will pay R200 for a raffle ticket. If anyone knows me out there they will know how desperately I want and need a plane and just cannot afford it... so should I be the lucky girl to win her... I would most certainly treat her with the greatest respect and love...

My prayers are with you Ian... may God Bless you with a full recovery....

As soon as I have made the payment Bundy... I will e-mail the confirmation through to you...

May I sell tickets to "outsiders"... I can see what I can do over the next couple of days... if it is still going to help...

take care...
Linda

Hi Linda,

Just remember, that the decision has not yet been taken to Raffle the plane.... Thanks for your pledge of a ticket, but unless you are willing to donate the money should the draw not go ahead, then I would not pay it in yet. The same would apply to "outside the circle".

Anyone is welcome to Pledge a ticket purchase! You do not have to pay in yet for any tickets though!

Just an update. According Sophia the service in the hospital is great. The operations went very well and both Ian's hand and bekken was worked on. He don't have pain in his bekken at the moment but the hand still hurts a bit. They are extremely thankfull for all the donations received from you guys and please keep them comming as we are not there yet. Also the pledges for the raffle. Lets see if we can reach 200 tickets to go ahead.

The Prof who did his bekken (Prof T le Roux) dit not charged them for the work on his bekken and they only had to pay for the "spares". This must have been a huge saving. Give that man also a Bells (^^) I think we should take him for a flip. You do not have an idea just how much every sent received from all of you has helped towards this. The total bill this far stands at R55K. Let us all hope and pray that Ian will be up and walking soon after this hand job and undercaridge upgrade.

Last time I got passionate about a cause (S&R) I got shot down a bit, so that is why I have only watched this thread so far. I don't want a 503, especially not on the back of a microlighter's misfortune - so I don't want to enter the raffle - but I would like to see a fellow aviator back in the air again - although I don't know him, so I will be making my donation later on.

Bundy - any idea of how much money has been deposited so far and how much is still needed?

Whow , the response has been great so far . Yep the Prof seems to be happy with the pelvis /undercarriage alignment , the arm (toe in ) seems to be sorted , its nearly time for some bubbly , a suggestion when his home again and fit to be driven how about a fly-inn to Rhino for a brekkie of note
The Surgeon (Prof) needs more than a Bells , I think he needs a Jameson or two (^^) (^^) I am still amased that in these times there are still so many caring folks who dont hesitate to help when called on - Were not done yet , it seems we have a definate offer on the Windlass for R36,000,00 so hopefully we should be able to make a decision before the end of the week . I will sponsor an ap as well as the paperwork delivery and collection of the paperwork as well as the trike to the buyer/ winner whichever it may be -
 I will visit him some time tomorrow so till then be good and may ya all have a peacfull night puff Leprachaun

Hi Asterix,

So far I count 59 Ticket Pledges (some people have paid these amounts in allready and will be donating these funds should the raffle not happen) That means R 11800.00 has been "pledged" should the raffle go ahead.

In terms of outright donations.... Im not sure as I have no access to Ian's acc... Just by looking back through this thread though, there are some very generous people out there! I think Ian has recieved in the region of about R7000.00 so far?

Really amazing to see how we can pull together in times of crisis.... (^^)

Keep on pledging those tickets, as Alex says, They have an offer on the plane for R36K.... looking at the above figures, the raffle response is still way short on this.....Remember, Ian and his family have to take the course of action that will bring them the most benefit in the short term from having to let go of the windlass....
