Vote on a Mag Cover Picture

John Young sent me a great picture - really outstanding - the 1st to arrive in a couple of years - so I was wondering if other photographers have renewed energy?

What to do?

Respond to this topic and attach a picture that you have a high resolution version of.
E-mail the high res version to nemo@webo.co.za.
Rename your picture to the next available picture number eg Use Picture 1 then when that is taken use picture 2 etc -

When there are a few pictures to choose from? - vote for your recommendation to the Editor - you can return and change your vote but you cannot vote multiple times.

Dit is Verneukpan in die Noord-kaap onder water na goeie reën.Het nog een of twee ander ook.
Ek boer nie te ver van die pan af nie, so het een van die grootste aanloopbane tot my beskikking, tensy dit nat is.

and note that you can return and change your vote as pictures are added ( if you want to ). All hi res pictures received (from this source and from others to nemo@webo.co.za) will be added to the photo competition entries at the webshots link seen below. If you do not send a hi-res version your picture will not be listed as an entry. It seems that John Young has rejuvenated the photo competition - well done John. Runners up will be featured on the center spread of the mag, contents page etc and the picture considered best for the cover will be there!

IT IS CUT-OFF TIME.

The recommendation to the judges is thus - Picture 4 @ 5 votes and picture 1 @ 4 votes.

Pictures are not exclusively drawn from this forum. To share some editorial preferences:
- For the cover "people please" - we are a membership magazine so featuring people is preferred
- Photo competition - awesome anything

This thread is now open for the next magazine.
