Gauteng Natal Mpumalanga - Week of 16 June 2011
Re: Gauteng Natal Mpumalanga - Week of 16 June 2011
Good morning
I just had a call from Brian at Pyramid. The chalet accommodation is fully booked.
There are 2 options left:
1) Camping accommodation available
2) Contact Brian, he will give you the number for "Jock of the Bush veld" guesthouse just down the road.

Julle almal is n klomp crazy trike pilots.

Ek sien Brain by Pyramied is alreed vol.!!!

Hoop daar is nog plek in Standerton en Ezulweni.!!

Ek praat jou thaal...

Howdy,
It seems that many are going to Microland and flying to Standerton from there.I am closer to Standerton from Circus,so what would the suggestion be..fly to Microland in the morning of the 15th,then fly with everyone to Standerton in the afternoon?
Alpha, will you be flying from Klip as i checked you want hangarage there,if so,let me know if you flying to Microland or straight to Standerton.

1) Fly towards the Shell Ultracity on the N1. Take the Pinedene route (powerlines) to Microland. Pinedene is in Waterkloof airspace so you need to chat to the Waterkloof Tower.
This is the shortest route but it gets busy south of Harties on a weekend. Plan you route so you stay away from grand central.
2) FABS, Tswaing Crater, FAFW, Lynx, Microland
Longer route but almost no traffic. Stay away from wonderboom and danger area north of the boom.
3) Stay on the N4 until you reach the N1 and then route straight to Microland.
Busy Wonderboom to deal with.
Early morning on a Wednesday I will recommend option 1.

I will be flying from Klip yes, tell me are you going alone or is your softness tagging along? I think it makes more sense for us to fly from Klip and Circus and meet up en route with the rest of the group?
We will need to discuss this at length on the Sibaka weekend!

Hey Alpha,
That will be great,we can discuss the plan at Sibaka. Will your softness be flying with you to the coast?
I asked Tribal as I too would love to do a sunset flight over the bushveld...
