Gents before you fly any route just have a look at your aeronautical charts pse. In this case Boraklalo national park is clearly marked on the map.
Easy plan is not always 100% correct. Not pointing fingers at anybody just a bit of useless info.

A very valuable lesson learnt sailor! I will consult the charts in future and not just really on Easyplan

I see this subject was mentioned last year with regard to low flying over nature reserves. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10514#p107233

My understanding is that if it is a proclaimed nature reserve, then a minimum height of 2 500ft has to be maintained. :(

Just to clarify for myself, does that mean that any piece of land with that thick green boundary is out of bounds below 2 500ft AGL?

From my attached map, and for those familiar with the Cape geography, it means if getting airborne out of Stellenbosch, I have to climb to 5200ft (the highest mountain in the area) + 2 500ft = 7 700ft whish is just inside the TMA!

IMHO, I think we should put radio active material/poison into the rhino horns to deter those poorly sized gentlemen from the far east!

Oh get over yourself Morph. Comments like this means you are just as bad as the people you refer to. Maybe time to start lifting the threads to show you that not all is exactly as you suggest on this forum. It is just not in the same quantity as the user numbers are far lower here.

With the support you receive on the other forum - it really irks me when you come out with comments like this.

Grumpy I am gatvol of the negative comments towards 'the other forum'.

The 'other forum' has supported this forum in many ways - to date this forum is the only one that has been able to be promoted on 'the other forum'. The admin of the 'other forum' assisted the admin of this forum when there was some questions on the last major upgrade. Even when there are issues with being able to log in here - the users are allowed to post on the 'other forum'. The other forum even dropped their Micro sub forum when this one started.

So when an admin/mod of this forum makes those types of comments - it is really just not in good spirit of co-operation. It is like a kick in the teeth and yes it does make me extremely grumpy.

I've been hauled over the coals for such a comment long ago.

And I did it tongue in cheek then, as much as I read Morphs tongue in cheek intent.

Skybound, fair comment, but don't loose the humour please. A jest at the right time, especially as with this "Sorry, it was me" thread was fantastic, humour, and funny. And any Avcommer would have seen it as such. Need to laugh more about what we read / fail to read.

Are we having a bad day? This was said in jest. I certainly would be the first to stand up in their defence.

Of course I support Avcom, but my heart is here with my mates. Choice of association.

I am over myself now, thanks for the advise  8) (^^)
