Subject: SA National Championships 2009

Hi Guys ,

The South African Microlight Championships is been held at the Ladysmith
airfield
from the 4th – 8th March 2009.

Accomodation at the airfield is very reasonably priced if you stay in the
chalets which
sleep 2 at R350-00 per chalet. There is a huge communal hanger which can
easily
accommodate 20 aircraft. The club chairman’s name is John Trollip and his
contact
no is 0829531378. Ladysmith Motel’s no is 0366376908 and contact is
Jabulani.

The morning of the 4th will be registration and aircraft assembly and
preparation. I will
hand out a practice task for the participants and a debrief after returning
from the task.
The first official task briefing will held that same evening with the task
hand out for the
following morning. The intention is to fly a minimum of two comp tasks
daily and finish
on the Saturday the 7th with Sunday the 8th being a spare flying day for
adverse weather.
If all goes to plan we should be able to have a prize giving/trophy hand
out and a good braai
the evening of the 7th.

All the planning and effort will be wasted if the instructors do not
motivate participation .This
is the perfect platform for all instructor and pilots to enhance there
knowledge and really
get to know and understand there aircraft.

We will be choosing a National team to represent South Africa in the 2009
World Championships
which is to be held in the Czech Republic later this year.

Please support the sport we all love and enter or encourage other pilots to
enter. Stick this up
on your notice board with the entry forms as well as my and Donovan’s cell
no for queries.

Please ensure entries are faxed through by the 23rd February to ensure that
we can issue the
correct golf shirt sizes and quantities. Please make a note on your entry
form as to the shirt
size on your entry form as I erroneously omitted a column for the shirts.

Your entry is only confirmed once the proof of entry fee has been faxed to
the fax no on the entry form.

Regards
Larry Eschner
