Circus Boys Parys Breakfast Run

Postby Skinner » Mon Aug 11, 2008 2:45 pm

3 Of us Circus boys flew to Parys for a breakfast yesterday and what an experience vhpy
On arrival we where welcomed by a bunch of friendly faces with the smell of hot coffee and fried goodies in the air.
I can highly recommend Parys as a breakfast destination

Hi Guys, vhpy

The Parys Breakfast Run was fantastic and we (the Circus Boys [and the softness]) would definitly
recommend to do something like this once every month.

So for anyone who wants to join us next month to the Parys Breakfast Run, feel free to do so.

KBP - howzabout the circus boys with their cobra toys meet me halfway somewhere for a brunch - lets say maybe wolmaranstad somewhwere? Or even delareyville. Klerksdorp guys are keen as well.

Howzit Sad Ham,

We actually wanted to land at Wingfield on the way to Parys...where you guys around on Sunday morning?
We should arrange to come and visit you guys some time soon
Have a look at my post under Hanger Talk, Quiz for Pilots - maybe you guys have more detail on the two airfields in question :)
Cheers,
Mike Skinner.

Hi Mike

No.... had a lateish night on saturday so only went out Sunday afternoon.

Never seen the strip in the first two photos before where abouts did you take the photo?
The photo showing the runway and the hanger is a private strip belonging to a friend of mine approximately 4Nm to the north-east of wingfield. He has two 3-axis microlights he flys from there.

Cheers

Hi Phil,

I'm going to give away the answer to the quiz now but seeing that no one has taken a guess yet I won't keep you wondering
The strip is approximately 3 to 4nm south, south east of your field :o
Just shows you that one does not always see everything...not even when flying around the cabbage patch
I have the exact coordinates, will post them shortly. Do you have the coords for the private strip :?:

Rather Parys than Wingfield. I don't fancy paying 50 bucks again just for a boerie and a cup of coffee.

Gaylord, Buzz Lightyear and myself went to Parys on Saturday for a breakie.

We thought that we would stop at Circus on the way back and have coffee but nobody was home ## ## ## . It was about 10h30
