To Paul and all at Stellenbosch flying club, Thanks for a really pleasant fly-in.
Just goes to show that Stellies is not as stuck-up and snobbish as some worngly perceive you guys to be!

Great breakfast! (when I saw the substance of the breakfast I ordered half a breakfast and even that was too much) (**)
Awesome Sprada coffee. Thanks Gary. (^^)

It was a pleasure to finally meet Trikenut. Nice young lad and I predict a good pilot in the fullness of time. WHERE ARE THE PICTURES Ross? Remember, we'll put AndyG and Bad Nav on you if you dont post them.

Grumpy and I had a great flight through the beautiful Franshoek valley on the way back and returned to a very sociable Morningstar after popping in at FAFK.

All in all a very pleasant mornings flying! Shot Grumps.

Thank you Paul,

What a great time at Stellies,
Good breakfast, good coffee and great company.
The flight in the 430 was awsome. Only got to fly the 120 at about 14h00. This gave us time to kuier a bit with members.
(^^) Thanks to Trevor who gave my one pax a lift to FAFK. (formation of Cubby's) This is what aviation is all about. (-)

Well done all (!!)

Thanks Paul, and all.......... at FASH. You guys need to be commended in the effort you put in to share aviation and your facilities with other pilots. Had a great time with great breakfast.
To Len, 'Jetranger' who gave me an 'intro' to Gyro by taking me halfway around the Boland, I thank you. AWESOME and more!!

Yeah thanks very much Paul and the rest of the FASH crowd. We felt most welcome. The brekkie was definately good value for money.

Nice to meet the young Trikenut.

I nearly didn't make it with the left fuel tank leaking fuel. But I drained it completely and closed the tap and put 30 liters in the right tank. That's what a right tank is for right? Turned out to be a pleasant flight, with really strange wind conditions, strong SE on the ground at Morning Star, NW over Bottlery Hills, zero wind but heat at Stellies

By the time we left with the heat buildup and the uphill 19 and a very slight downwind situation, density altitude and the two vetgatte (Morph and Gadget lekker versadig from the awesome brekkie) I thought I would eventually be out over the ocean before getting to the minimum 1000ft alt before turning crosswind. Eventually the crosswind turn came and I left the circuit on the downwind at 1500ft climbing for 2000 and routing for Morning Star. 20 minutes later we were back home to a sweltering SE but the landing was a non-event and we retired to the cool clubhouse for a few (^^)

That's right Morph, but were there enough fuel left when you've landed ?
