Hallo Mr Blue

Yes, the competition is starting all over. First plane will take off @ 07:00. After the first navigation and observation task, there will be some spot landings or activities at the airfield. From +- 14:00 the planes will be in the air for the second task with some activities around the airfield after that. Its something to see when the guys come shooting down for their spot landings. Be there early and enjoy some good times with the guys. Come and see how they prepare for their tasks or just come and get some tips. Ask for Jacques - his the man with all the competition know how. Yes, bring your friends along.

Guys thank you one and all for your support, i have learned a great deal more about navigation than i ever new. i found that everyone wanted to share their knowledge. This made me see that it was a fair for all starters comp. I felt at home with all the faces filled with smiles. I got to know my aircraft from a different angle that i understand her feelings as well now. This has brought us closer together. We both agree that love is in the air. At one landing it was commented that i had received more than the allocated points ever in a competition....it must have been when i landed on the 250 mark then bounced into the air over the 200 mark landed on the 150 mark and then bounced again to land on the 100 mark  My navigater said Peter i dont care how you fly but just get us safely on the ground. I did  I will be back 8)

And the winner is......Jenya wih his daughter,Mia, as navigator. This man came from no where and show the pilots how to land. He also win the king of the deck competition. Congratulations and well done. Me and my son,Jandre, as navigator came second and Mervin Reynolds third. Also a great thanks to Larry Eschner,as competition director, and his team that supported him.

We hope to see you all at the Gaureng Championship later this year. The dates of this championship is not confirmed yet, but I will keep you all up to date.

Cheers

Well done to all competitors and especially the winners. It was great fun and once again proved to teach you and hone your flying skills. I dont know where Jenia learnt to spot land but he just cant miss.

I got slightly lost yesterday and made good use of the age old adage - if in doubt, descend and read the road signs!! Oh, so this is the R42 to Bronkhorstspruit, so where is the R55 to Bapsfontein then??!!

Thanks to all involved in the organisation and preparation of this comp.

At least Hendrik aka Weaver aka Skin has improved his landing technique - see photo taken at last years comp.
