Hi guys and gals, only one week to go for this event! So time to start with the flight planning...
Just a little more info on this event. The event is hosted by one of the local schools in the Loskop valley and first of all would like to thank Groblersdal Flying Club for supplying the venue!
So what is it all about? Well shortly, it is a breakfast run for pilots, bikers and runners/walkers.(Can you believe there are people who is taking the "breakfast run" thing literally!)
To make it special we thought to dedicate this event to God, since we are a christian school and give a chance to christians from all walks of life to stand up and be seen enjoying what He gave us to enjoy through His grace.
So there is no formal program, just fly in and enjoy a nice breakfast under our nice Bushvelt sun, sharing it with fellow aviators and people thankful to God for making it all possible to us.
We also have a some exhibitors and stalls planed for the day.

So now that you have a really good excuse to fly again we just need a little favor from you.... please, please, please let us know how many hungry mouths you are flying in!
This is really important, we are not going to be happy standing here red faced because there was not enough food and neither are you!

Send me a PM or email with the amount of people and your email address so I can send you an entry form. That means that you can pay for you breakfast in advance.(Just bring your entry form and proof of payment.)
You can also enter on the day as long as you let us know that you are coming! vhpy

Also if you are going to need fuel to get back home please place your order with me via PM or email stating what your needs are in volume and grade! s024 Any thing is possible if we know what to cater for!

One more thing. ($$) There will be no ATC! Use unmaned procedure. Switch to 122.4 when 5 miles out.

FLY SAFE!!! <*>

Any Groblersdal predictions for the day? It certainly looks better from what I can see!

Any views from the more experienced pilots?

Thanks, John

Ok, so we raided the mielie fields, used some to feed the chickens, which laid lots of fresh eggs, smash the rest for plates full of pap and slautered a few beasts to make some juicy sausages ect. You get my drift.

Now all we need is for you to fly in and consume it all!
So if you want to flee the cold weather come and visit us In the always pleasant Busvelt!

Thanks to all who let us know that you are comming, your breakfast will be waiting!

There were no requests for fuel ... which is only available on prior arrangement!

Hope to see you all!
Fly safe! vhpy

Yikes....but the wind...she blew strongly.
5 Bantams and 1 Bushbaby took off from Lydenburg at 07.00, but on reaching 6500-7000 ft, the headwind slowed us down to a 30 kt groundspeed, giving two hours flying time to Groblersdal, after getting thumped, and thinking of the return trip, when conditions were expected to worsen, we made a safety call and did a 180, returning to Lydenburg, very sorry to have missed the breakfast.
Sorry guys, we will return to Groblersdal on a better day. Hope your day was successful.
