Fly-in(out) Piet Retief

Postby DawieLieb » Fri Oct 28, 2011 6:49 pm

## Hi all micro lighters. We are planning a fly-in the weekend of 10/11 March (might be postponed due to weather!) at our new field just South of Piet Retief. We are still busy with the runway`s and they will be from 400m to 500m, covering all wind directions. The club house is not very new, but has all the facilities (electricity, water, toilets, shower, kitchen, ect.) The existing runway`s are used for model airplanes and golf can be played on them. (Very nice) We are planning a very pleasant weekend with bomb drops, spot landings, formation flying ect. Sleep over in the club house can be done, but there are no beds. (Bring own sleeping gear) B+B are also available in Piet Retief and a vehicle will be available to shuttle people from the airfield to your accommodation. There will be food and drinks available at the club house so don’t worry about the bellies. (^^) A lekka party and braai is also in the plans for the Saturday night. This is the first time something like this is held and any assistance with planning this event will be much appreciated. Someone with good radio skills will be much appreciated to do air traffic control. Please contact Dawie 0824634216 email dawie@roadsidesupport.co.za. More information regarding the runway`s at Airfields, Destinations and Contacts.

## NB.NB. Please let me know who is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ## To be able to make this event a success I need to know how much fuel, braai packs to organize. ## Please let me know your needs. No name on the list - no fuel!!!!!!!!!!!! ##

(-) Hi guys. Sorry to inform you but the Fly-in is postponed with two weeks to the 24/25 of March. The weather is not so good here in Piet. You can still come threw if you already planned the trip, just let me know. (-)
