The Tankwa Karoo National Park is about 140km north east of Ceres on the R355. Stonehedge is a private catered tented camp just north of the National park, as is the runway. The Africa Burns event happens there every year. It's a great venue, brilliant jol and fantastic flying.

HERE'S THE INFO: We will have catering from 12th dinner untill 16th lunch. Registration fee of R50.00. A per day rate of R250.00 per day. That will give you three meals a tent and a matress. Please bring own bedding. Music and fires under the freeform tent in the skaapkraal will be provided. Cash bar availible. Unleaded 95 will also be availible.

If you convert those coordinates to one's Google Earth understands it becomes 32 20' 04"S, 19 44' 53" E

I certainly can't see any runway there. I am trying to get my bearings from the campsite. who has the co-ords for the campsite?

Oh yes and I strongly, strongly, very strongly advise you to take your own inflatable mattress. Henk supplies 1 hour mattresses , the longest you can sleep on them is....you guessed it, 1 hour.

I also strongly recommend this jol, food is excellent, beautiful environment, no TV, Radio nothing.
