More info:

Grahamstown flying School/ club will be hosting a fun / training / advanced / competition, allowing for bad weather over the 4 days from 13 - 16 June. Any or all days, for those who have limited time.
Planned arrival in GHT would be for Friday PM, or Saturday morning, first task to be on Sat PM, thereafter tasks will be set at two per day, hopefully.
Tasks will start off as very basic, but with a few more difficult points, to make it enjoyable for those who have done this type of thing before, but will still be very easy for novice flyers to complete, especially the first tasks..
Full briefings and training / help will be given to those participating.
Each day will have a navigation task, and spot landings / circuits.
Items needed by pilots will be basic - two knee boards per competitor, scale ruler, marking pens. At least one GPS will be needed, to log your track. Minute markers and maps will be provided.
Teams can fly either dual or solo, in trike or three axis.
Accommodation will be arranged once we have an idea of numbers. Food and drinks will be available, again depending on numbers
Entry fees will be approx R200 per competitor, to cover costs of maps etc. Early confirmation appreciated, to gauge interest and participation.
For more info, contact me on details below.

HI All

Training comp attended by 14 aircraft, with 4 fixed wing, for the first time, so it would be great if we could encourage more fixed wing participation in the future.

Well done to all who arrived and partcipated, even in windy conditions, but you all proved that you can do it. A huge thanks to all who helped over the weekend.

This will be become an annual event, I'm sure.
