Unfortunately the weather didnt play along and we only managed to fly half of the first nav task, one spot landing and one 4 minute circuit task. It was very windy - gusting 21 knots and you had to have balls of steel to fly the 4 minute circuit. I think ony 4 trikes completed it. Comp has been moved to 23 and 24 May. I'm sure new entries will be welcome

Thanks to all the novice entries. You okes made us feel proud. The way you handle the dead stick landing just show me that all of you really can fly trikes. Larry also said to me that the new pilots did very well in the nav task. Well done to you all!!!. Thanks to Larry and Rhyne for all the help and organising. Well, see you all again on the 23 and 24 May 2009.

To all the other microlight pilots, please contact me on 083 2550 639 to book your place in the starting line up for the next competition (23 and 24 May 2009). Ask Peter and James. Its really fun!!!

I no longer fear 20 kts winds. This is thanks to this comp, even though it was cancelled. Thanx Mervyn, a constant source of wisdom to me, Peter who motivates me to try new things, Hendrik and ALL the petit guys for being so nice, and Larry and Ryan for the trouble you went through to host this - it was evident from the field set -up right through to the braai that you put in a lot of time. Even though things got hairy after the first couple of hours, I gained A LOT of experience - I will be there on the 13th in full force, and with a few new tricks up my sleave - You are all great people (^^)

Hello Thermal.

We welcome you with open arms (^^) (^^) . Costs=R400 per person. Flying hours: +-5 hours. Asterix, the date of the next Comp is the 23/24 May 2009 and not the 13th.
