New Xenon flying @ Rhino Park

I had the opportunity to take a few photos today of a new Xenon flying at Rhino Park.

It seems to be flying very well with nice short take-offs and a good rate of climb. This one is interesting in that it is powered by a Rotax 912 (not a 914) with a turbo added, seems to work VERY well and it is quite a bit cheaper than the 914.

The Gyro is fitted with longer blades than the previous one and it seems to be the perfect combo.

Well done !
At last some Xenon in the air until now grounded only for paper work problems.
Another month and there will be another one.

Hi THI !

I cannot remember the name of the owner, he only did a conversion on it before moving it to his home field but the pilot/instructor was Braam Hechter.

I can find out the other name if you need it,
Regards,
Rudi

Stunning machine! Congratulations!
Love the chin-windows, can you see much through them? What rotor system does it use?
Wish them lots of success and many happy flying hours.

Hi Ldel, I hope I'm not sending you in a wild goose chase. His name is Deon Maree. Sorry JetRanger, I haven't seen the Xenon in live colours. I live in the W-Cape, hopefully I'll visit soon and go for a flip. What a beautiful machine!

On Rotax course, they told us that the 914 is actually the 80HP 912 with a turbo.

Looks like nice aerie... I like side by sider...
