Is it worth looking at imported gyros. As far as know there is quite a verity of gyro's on the markets over saes that we do not even know about. And it seems they are priced well to.

Bennie, In my humble opinion, one must consider the following: -
Imported gyro's are fine if you have the technical ability to take care of it yourself or you buy one through an agent that has infrastructure country-wide. There are two reasons why I opted for a local one.
1. Gyro's from 1st world countries are made for tar runways. If you're always going to land and take off from tar then no problem. Their undercarriages and design let them down a bit in the rough stuff we have here.
2. Spares and access to maufacturer. I damaged my gyro's tail through stupidity and within 2 days had the replacement part fitted. An entire tail section like that would have cost a fortune to import and would have taken months.
I still feel 'Local is lekker!" and I am very happy with my machine.
