OMG NO!!!!
I just got a pair of headsets from him last weekend at Rhino Park, and I was going to post about what a great guy he is for giving me a perfectly good pair of headsets!
I was leaving the airfield when I got his message on my phone that he was at the airfield.
He was washing his Sycamore and was going for a test flight later on.
This is tragic!
He seemed like such a great guy!

Dit klink so onwerklik veral as n mens nog saterdag met hom gepraat het.
Sterkte aan julle in die gyro gemeenskap wat n vriend verloor het, hy gaan verseker gemis word op Rhino ook.

A big loss to the flying community for sure. I met Leon at the Kroon Fly in, and at Rhino when I did my LSA. Surely going to miss him.

Leon se begrafnis diens is Vrydag 13 Februarie vanuit NG Kerk Elarduspark om 10h00. Geen verrigtinge by begraafplaas agv van verassing.

My sincerest condolences. Had the privilege of meeting him a few times over the years at both Rhino and Aeroden. What a pleasant gentleman and what a sad sad situation. RIP.
