Baie hartseer nuus. Charlene is Sondag oorlede, hartaanval. Dink asb aan haar familie en 2 pragtige seuns. Begrafnis is Vrydag in Midrand.

That's sudden and tragic. How terrible. That's Charlene the gynae it is? How ironic that a doctor should have a heart attack. May God comfort her family at this dark hour, and may he hold her closely in his arms.

Charlene is sitting at the back. Taken at Gariep. Also at the table is Llewellyn.

Some photo's when Charlene flew down to the fairest Cape with her dad for the SAGPA AGM in 2008. I remember she told her fellow doctor colleagues that she was going to a "conference", not quite mentioning it was flying related. Good for her.

Oh no, what terribly sad and shocking news! Sincere condolences to her loved ones.

She will be remembered as one of the select few pioneering female Gyro pilots in this country.

May her soul continue to fly freely.

RIP Charlene.
