Well thats good news Grumpy old chap. (I can recommend a good instructor
)
While Gyro's make it easier, I dont see any reason why that trip can't be undertaken in any other recreational aircraft? Trikes may have special challenges here and there but why the hell not? Challenges are there to make it more fun!

THI; Usually we try to keep it to around 3 hours a day or less unless we are "getting there" or "getting back".
Quick landing here and there for a bathroom break, smoke break and leg stretch from time to time helps for the lamgat yes.
Look at the log again mate... up to 8 hours in one day!
