Well thats good news Grumpy old chap. (I can recommend a good instructor )

While Gyro's make it easier, I dont see any reason why that trip can't be undertaken in any other recreational aircraft? Trikes may have special challenges here and there but why the hell not? Challenges are there to make it more fun!

Hi Grumpy: Eendag, fore sure!! Just came back from training at Saldanha, and o boy was it fun! Unfortunately I'll still need a handfull of hours before I have my wings patience patience!!

Hi JetRanger: I see that you guys only flew max of +-3 hours per day. Is it to avoid the "gat lam" feeling?

THI; Usually we try to keep it to around 3 hours a day or less unless we are "getting there" or "getting back".
Quick landing here and there for a bathroom break, smoke break and leg stretch from time to time helps for the lamgat yes.
Look at the log again mate... up to 8 hours in one day!
