Hey Gyronauts

My best mate is really thinking about possibly acquiring a gyro. Would anyone in the gauteng area be prepared to offer the good gentleman a flip in a gyro - lets get another person involved in this fantastic sport that we love. I will offer the pilot a flip in a trike in return

I recommend that he arrange a demo flight with the local suppliers of Gyros.

Theuns Eloff is based at Kitty Hawk but will be on a Namibia trip for two weeks.
Surely Roelf Palm (0826537475) will be able to help. They are the agens for the MT-03.

Anthony Cohen from Elaaviation is the agent for Ela Gyro's and is based at Fly-in. He can be contacted on 0833371574.

Bit further away in Westonaria is Butch Brown, agent for the Magni Gyros. His contact number is 011-7532261.

But be warned. Roelf Palm will tell you this is like snake posion. Once bitten it will never be out of your system again.........

I agree with Condor. Contact Roelf. The fun of an intro flight in a gyro, is going with an experienced instructor, therefore you get the chance of piloting a gyro from the front - you actually fly it yourself. I will never forget my demo flight with Roelf. Never flew before, and suddenly I was piloting a gyro - so I thought.

If your buddy is closer to the East rand, contact Matthew (0h83 423 2732) at 303, Brakpan (FABB). He is keen on giving demo flights.

If you do not come right - I know experienced pilots in Pretoria that's not on the forum and will gladly take him for a flip.

Me, I'm still a newbie pilot, but will offer my services as a last resort.
