Ready to go SOLO

Postby Albatross » Thu May 29, 2008 12:49 pm

I am ready to go solo (Bantam B22J) but the only thing holding me back is waiting for my student licence from CAA  . Had some good circuits yesterday with only one landing interupted with some impala wanting to cross the runway  and one where I lost a bit of consertration. Had some elephants under us while doing the circuits vhpy

I know of others here in CT waiting for their SPL as well. Is there a problem at CAA?

Good luck with the solo.

SOLO at last

Postby Albatross » Sun Jun 29, 2008 1:12 pm

Hi Everyone. Went up friday evening and did 30 minutes circuit work came down thinking it is finished for the day, start back traking and when ready to turn off get told to turn around and stop. Instructor climbs out and asks am I ready to go SOLO? Yes vhpy , what a rush, plane jumped off the runway, at circuit hieght in no time and a perfect landing in the last rays of the setting sun. Will have to wait for a week before hitting the solo hours as work takes me away.
