How many students on forum?

Postby Thunderboy » Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:32 am

How many of you guys are students and where you training how many hours, where are you in training etc?

It seems there is a huge shortage of 3 axis instructors MPL and PPL - not sure of what the situation is with weight shift?

PS If anyone knows of a full time 3 axis instructor looking for a job Crosswinds is looking for one

Don't worry, nothing wrong with being a slow learner, doing your license is loads of fun even if it's taken 6 years... ':-

Think you'll have b4 2010?

Depends on if the contractors can finish the hangar before 2010. Only taken 15 months to tar the runway (and still not finished) :? :? . No point in getting trike license if I have nothing to fly and luckily the construction is keeping pace with my learning ability    . (I not slow just thourrough (sp?)) I recon I be ready for solow sometime early next year

Postby BOATCH » Tue Mar 04, 2008 12:07 pm

After having to battle with instructers the wearher and hiring a plane i at last went solo on saturday and man wat a relief talking about my 3 axises training. I can not believe that i am still wanting to fly after all i have been though traveling 365km and having a apointmint with the inst and arriving a hour before the time and then after a hour and a half you phone the inst and tells you, sorry i have sent my vechile in for a service and i can not help you today but lets see what tomorrow looks like maybe i could help you . But let me put that behinde and start a new flying hobby without having to beg the INSTUCTER GODS . I today have to thank BRIAN YOUNG from piramid in Barberton for giving me the training and i could reccomend him as a good trainer and stays by his word.Boatch

When I read this in another post, I though it was just maybe some joke. But honestly, where is "Centurion" airfield. I am based at Rhino and it is quite far from Vahalla. Centurion is just around the corner from me.

Ja, I will probably try and finish 3 axis convesion now on Tecnam - Did 1 hour sunday, doing u turn on runway towards the right for line up I saw I was not gonna make the turn so I hit the brake.....which is the left rudder on a Tecnam  Almost taxied into the R512 - Good thing ol Piet was around - Once in the air I am comfortable in 3 axis, just need to learn them rudders and to approach lower - Don't dive bomb a Tecnam like you do a trike
