CCM Microlight

I have a LSA license with a rating on the Jabi Sp / UL120.

I would like to find out more about flying what RAASA has termed as a CCM. A Bantam would fall in this category. Where can one do a Bantam rating? Are there Bantam's out there for hire & fly?

If your licence is current then its just a type conversion to the Bantum that is needed, this can be done at Aviators Paradise.

Yep - Bantam falls squarely into the Conventionally controlled Microlight class. Nope I dont know of any available for hire and fly - (where are you based) - Sperak to Udher Herpich From Aviators paradise for details of a conversion, other wise depending again on where you are Dave From Rhino park can do your conversion. - niether have planes for use though so you would need to source one first..

Is there anyone out there with a Bantam for H&F? Or what other LSA aeries / CCM microlights can one hire and fly? And where?

Another question.. I now have my LSA license.. I want to learn how to fly other aeries. Any suggestions (not keen on trikes right now)?

Howdy again - To be honest i cant remember the going rate off hand.... will find out what it was and come back to you.. about 250 duel EXCLUDING airplane i think and once solo 150 excluding plane ??

the only option worth considering there is Bantam - ing.... its a fantatically reliable little machine, absolute dream to fly. very forgiving, fun flying at its best especially when it comes to low and slow sightseeing... try www.microaviationsa.co.za - bantam website will give you all the specs aaannnndd if you start thinking around the 6 cylinder your in business, - most affordable fun flying.

Seriously through the other planes are also fantastic- theres a beaufiful cheetah for sale on AVCOM. really depends on what you want to do... remember coming from the JABI are you sure you want to go back to "closed cockpit" flying, ?? Savannah Beautiful, JUMPS into the air, flies beautifully but again, closed cockpit BUT far better than the bantam for long cross countries...

Here is my situation.

I can only H&F at this point, budget is kinda tight when it comes to buying a plane.

Just looking to add some variety to what I am rated on and possibly explore other kinds of aviating. I dont mind a "semi-open" cockpit at all.

Now you are talking.. Its beer o clock.
