JFK,

Problem is, Blonde Heksie started her training and can only fly on weekends, so she is flying Saturday morning, by the time she is done and we get to Middelburg, most of the trikes will be gone. :( , so will probably not see you there :!:

Trikenut
If I left my aircraft at the same airfield for a week and checked the alt meter everyday I would get a different reading of height above sea-level everyday.
The reason for this is that the altmeter works on baromatic pressure. And this pressure we are living in all and everyday changes all the time (high pressure and low pressure weather systems)

Therefore you have to know what the QNH is so that you can use this QNH (WHICH DIFFERS ALL THE TIME)to set your altmeter to give you the exact height above sea-level. So if you first inputt this data into your altmeter on the aircraft left for one week at the airfield you would get the same reading everyday which would be accurate. All aircraft input this qnh everyday so that every pilots altitude is given accurately relation with all other pilots
