Thanks guys. Will stick my nose in the books tonight again. Looking forward to push my trike out of the hanger with license in hand yes.

Must say training on my own trike was a good idea. Very confident with it now. Done 4 hours within the circuit with it solo. Engine runs very smooth, economical and EGT's are max 5 degrees apart from each other. !!!!

Plus to many friends and some family are still awaiting a flight with me. Can not drop them now!

Cheers
Karl

Hi Mike

Sounds good. Maybe we can swop planes half way. They say once you can fly a trike you can fly anything!! vhpy vhpy

You enjoy the flight with Dirk? Where did you guys fly to? And have you been up in a trike before?

Finally got out of the circuit this weekend. Flew with Louis to Altona. Had to do a few medium turns with a few stalls. Showed me a much safer way to do them... Then back to FAFK. As we landed he said if I want I can go out on my own. So off I went. Allways wanted to do a cross wind landing at Altona. Instead just did a low pass over the runway - way to much cow sh_T on runway to my liking. As I powered out there is two trikes right infront of me. Wargames and another trike. He insisted that I land. Both him and I have been talking for a very long time of meeting there. Finally it happend.

Now I just want to get back in the sky. New places to fly to. Do I need to stay within a 5 mile radius from my field? How far can I go...

Cheers
Karl

Hi Mike. Yes very soon. Have you landed at Altone with your plane before? What part are you waiting for? Is it arriving today?

Cheers

How are your solo signed out in your logbook.

I was first signed out for cicuits, and then I was signed out 25 nm from Brakpan and was told once or twice to fly out to Heidelberg.

When I was ready for nav, I got signed out for 100 nm.

I'm told 'Student solo rules' says no more than 50 nmiles.

That is almost 90km. Will confirm with instructor before I go flying again. Could fly to quite a few places with that restraint vhpy
