Changing Flight Schools

Postby REDROMAN » Mon Nov 03, 2008 11:16 am

I got my spl in May month and was training at a flight school in East London with my own trike - Delta Speed - code z178 - which reflects on my spl.I want to finish my training in December at a different flight school in Ghrahamstown and will be useing their trike which will be an Aquilla or windlass.Do i apply for a new spl or although the windlass or aquilla is not listed on my spl - can i still train on them with my current spl.

As far as I understand it as it used to be, the wording was " for all aircraft as endorsed in your logbook" This used to mean that the instructor would endorse in your logbook which type was being used for training. I am not sure if this has changed or not.

Also remember to ask for your training file and take it with to your new school.
Nuts about Cheetahs. Petit is the place.

Hi REDROMAN,

Why don't you complete your MPL on your own trike at Grahamstown?

Apart from the riging and deriging it is about 500km away from me.I will be stealing a bit of holiday from the family and therefore will be going with my bike. And off course Larry gives me a good rate as well.It was my idea initally but chose this option because of the conveniance.

Hi,

I hear you.

But who is going to do the flight test / conversion on the Delta Speed - Z178 once you have obtained your MPL on the Aquilla Z159? :? :?

Spl stays valid, will need to do a conversion onto new trike types, so no problem.
