Ihave disc brakes on my skyranger and they work verry well, i am not sure what the conversion wil consist of . The cheeta and the skyranger is more or les the same. Bryan Young from Barberton could give you some input on this toppick . I have been looking at the brake sistem that nowdays mountin bikes have it does not look to a big job to mount them.

Best upgrade for brakes is GT 450 brakes.

Also had a Cheetah with bad brakes.Fitted new softer and more flexable inner+outer cables and day/night difference.More than enough braking power.

I bought a very neat second hand Cheetah with horrible brakes last year. Battled my arse off to get the brakes to work - i could do a shorter landing in my Cessna. I eventually replaced both the cables and had a 10% improvement. Paid a visit to a friend at the brake shop in town. Found out that the asbestos compound used to make the pads were glazed and much too hard. My friend replaced the asbestos with a softer type used on motorbikes. I now have no more useless play on my brake lever and i now have to most effective and best brakes possible!! This Cheetah now locks it rear wheels on tar!

I did a conversion on my trikes brakes. Used the front calipers and disks from the robuster quad bike. Cost about R4000.00 excluding labour. Old front brake couldn't hold at 3000rpm, new brakes hold to 5500 to 6000rpm.

Be careful in changing the brakes... have to be approved as mod once fitted.

BLACK MAX disk brakes look the part!

I rather intend sorting out the existing cables & drums on my Cheetah than spend oodles on disks for now!

If you have a farm, you have space so why not extent the runway and Zuma can fly in with his company jet, btw do you pay taxes?
