I need a front tyre for AUKie. The tyre is the original that came with the kit, (10 years, 500 hours old, not bad) and has the size in inches. 11 X 4.00-5. Any ideas of where I can get one :?: In fact I would need two, one for another Challenger at the field as well

without being funny  , have you tried someone like tiger wheel and tyre?? If they can't help, they would probably know where to get it? Just a idea, use it or don't.

Tried that, they put me on to the Forklift guys. These guys only stock solids, which probably weigh a ton. They put me on to Tyrecor and they only have a 11 X 4.00-8 on the books but no stock in CT or JHB

Hang on a second, check the weight of that solid. it "might" not weight all that much more, and you are then guaranteed not to ever have a puncture on that wheel.

I discovered that this tyre size, 11X4.00-5 is used extensively in the ride-on mower market. I have spoken to the local Challenger agent and he says the front tyre suffers very little stress and if you've ever seen a challenger without Pilot and Pax you'll notice it stands with it's nose up in the air. Even fully loaded the weight on the front wheel is very low, due to it's balance and center of gravity.

So after a few more calls I can get the tyres here in CT at, wait for it, :-(-( ..............a pricely R67.00 ex VAT :D :D :D 8)

That thinks it's above the rest?
stands with it's nose up in the air.
Can you use the Challenger to mow lawns?

YES, IT'S A SNOBBISH LAWNMOWER WITH WINGS, WHAT ABOUT IT :!: :!: :!: YOU WANNA MAKE SOMETHING OF IT, HEY HEY HEY :!: :!: :!:  :D

I always used to refer to my Skyfox as garden chairs, lawnmower motor with wings, so it is a bit of a progression. I now have a partially enclosed tandem seated FLYmo... :D :D 8)

Please don't say "Flymo", that reminds me of the TV ad from the late 70's with the guy in the tux dancing around the garden like a fairy!
