On Aerotrikes website I can't find info on the Spirit II anyone flown with both or are able to compare?

What is the best wing in SA for turbulence, the Profi? Please try and be unbiast.

The basic rule of thumb is: Higher the wing loading, the less effect turbulance has... so small wing=high wing loading=stability in turbulance, but at the expense of lift and a higher take-off and landing speed, higher stall speed and longer runway. But I realise that there are design tricks to counter this... I believe that wing loading is also a function of speed... so Demon could have a football pitch for a wing and still cruize serenly through a gale..

I have a Spirit 15 that I have not flown yet:( But I have read and heard that it is a good compromise. By theory alone I would say the profi will be the best wing for turbulance, my instructor has the Starnger 14.8 and it feels very responsive and resistant to being thrown around, although I have only experience with an old windlass to compare it with.

The spirit15 looks wicked with the transparent upper surfaces;)

I'm trying to see if any local wings can actually compare with a blade / pegis. I've read old reviews of the Blades etc and when the engine was off they dropped like a bomb, the article countered this by saying but how often do you have engine outs with a 912...

Yet Demon's EVIL trike has good glide ratios and performance envelope! I'm trying to stay away from the idea of a bastardised trike, but have found TONNS of trikes in the US (Apollo, NW etc) who state that almost any wing can be fitted to their trikes and they standardise on Aeros with 1 or 2 internally made wings - like Aerotrike and the Spirit.

Please let me know (honestly) how the Spirit 15 wing goes!

I fly a Spirit 2 aerotrike.
Its got the round tubing. Same shock system as the Cobra. Basically the same as a Cobra except for all the cosmetics.
Very solid, strong trike. Empty wieght 177kg. 582 rotax and Stranger 14.8 wing. Wat n moerse nice vlerk!

I have recently taken delivery of my new Raptor trike and I must say that this is a very stable wing-undercarridge combination. There is just no comparing my old Aquilla 1 wing with the Raptor wing in turbulance.

We flew over the escarpment from Barbeton to Carolina last Sunday and we had a 20 - 30 mile/hr head wind going there but the trike handled it beautifully (2hr 10min going and 47 min return flight!).

I have never flown any of the other wings - just my 2c worth.

The spirit 2 wing is a STranger 14.8.
According to me one of the best and strongest wings around. Been here for ages and proven. I think Mike Blyth did his 48000km south to south trip in 1999 with one of those.
