When is it advisable to change fuel lines, engine mounts, tyres and other rubber on trike?

Well, except when it is all perished and busted up off course...

Any advice on what to do and what not to do, pitfalls along the way etc?

I have an Aerotrike Safari with 582 Electric Start btw

How many hours does your trike have DH?

290 hours but doubt any rubber has been replaced since 1996 when it was built...

96 is a long time.

I am not an expert on that, but look at simular rubbers on cars, boats etc.

It depends mainly to which heat or sun the rubber is exposed, parked in the sun or exposed to engine heat.

I would change all rubbers, special fuel lines.
If you can see as well cracks on the end of the fuel lines, its time to say good bye to them.

In my opinion, I would look as well if the rubber is still smooth and soft, when it should be fine, but getting hard, I would say is the start for cracks.

Was not really the field, was the trip on the trailer and the gravel roads and the worst was probably the tar with all the potholes. The engine mounts had tod for my trike engine what the shocks did for the car... Not to mention just plain age!
