Garmin Aera 795

Was talked into buying a Garmin 795, against my better judgement.
I have tried registering the product online, validate an update coupon and search for online training, with zero success.
Garmin South Africa are about as helpful as Eskom.
All I need is South African maps and learn how to use the system effectively.
Is there any kind soul out there who can assist ?
I will stick with iPad in future. User friendly, easy setup and no hidden costs.
