Please be aware that the cable & balls that normally indicate the presence of the high tension cables at the threshold of Aeroden 18/36 have been 'removed by the forces of nature' (high winds) and as such poses a threat to pilots who may not be aware of the high tension cables.
The cables are extremely hard to see from the air so please exercise caution if landing or taking off from Aeroden.
Hopefully the cable & balls will be replaced soon.
Safe Skies

Although not my responsibility, I will be taking a look this weekend to see what can be done!

Do the township trick. Throw tekkies or running shoes, tied together, over the lines. Spray paint them bright yellow before the time.

HaHa! Good suggestion, but I think they will be too small to alert a pilot! Those 'little balls' are in fact about 500mm diameter when confronted on the ground!
I had a site inspection today and have a plan to get the balls up again!
I need help though . . . . does anyone have a 'come along', or cable winch?

Would the authorities maybe listen to a request, for the sake of safety, to install an underground MV cable between the span of poles where the runway is? I have seen this been done before and would make a really safe approach and takeoff!
Or if they wouldn't listen, maybe get the members into donating funds to get it done... There is no price tag on someone's life!
