Does anyone know at what intervals the two stroke oil filter, located between the oil bottle and the pump, needs to be replaced?

To add a question to this thread. Where can I get the filter for the autolube oil? I am in the process of changing the fuel and oil pipes and want to change the autolube oil filter as well.
Cheers Frank

Boet, my 582's oil filter looks like a closed unit ? If so, where do I get a new unit ? Probably from the ROTAX agents.

Should we buy this oil filter from the Rotax agents ? It actually looks like a fuel filter....

Let me open a can of worms...
Pre-Mix...
* Less weight, because you remove the pump, bottle and the 2L oil you carry with.
* Less that can go wrong, pump fails, the filter in mention clogs up, oil pipe starts leaking.
* Because you premix you know there is definitely sufficient lubrication.
* You have one less thing to worry about.

On the fuel filter I inspect at the 25 hour service and change if needed, but change every 50 hours.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Use Rotax recommended fuel filters. A friend of mine had an engine out the other day after using a pleated-paper filter, which gummed up with the pre-mixed fuel.
Also, when ordering be sure to stipulate straight or 90 degree bend.
