BEST TWO STROKE OIL FOR ROTAX...????

I am currently using SHELL MINERAL two stroke oil for my AQUILA ROTAX 582 with no problems but have heard that SYNTHETIC two stroke is better. Whats better, mineral or synthetic?

I only use synthetic oil in my trikes.

Yes I agree with Nicow
Full synthetic- Castrol Power1 2T
Its rather expensive (was about R90 per 1l bottle) but sure investing into new parts (filters, sparkplugs etc) is just as important as investing into good oil.
Whats the use spending R60k + on new rotax 582 engine and throwing in lubricant thats slightly better than olive oil? Not even mentioning other expenses like the rest of one's aerie etc...

Air cooled: API Spec Super Chainsaw
Water cooled: TCW-3 Super Outboard Plus.

It does not help to get all
this question has come up just about everytime we get a new pilot who is wanting to know from the people who have been there and done that

As noted above, this topic has been discussed ad nauseum before. The only conclusion that can logically be made from the years and years of debate is that opinions are like arseholes - everyone's got one.
I have grown so tired of the debate that I stopped using any oil at all and have noticed that my rattax now doesn't smoke at all. You should try this.

Gert, this is of great concern. There is a small chance that this is the reason for your engine out problems
