Best intercom system.

Can any one tell me what is the best value for money when looking at replacing your intercom system and where to get hold of it?
Mine had packed up twice in the last six months and enough is enough.

Buzzcom seems to be very popular and is local. I use PS Engineering portable as backup which is supurb, but it not in open cockpit environment?

Tommy Coupe - 0833961826 (Tom Tom systems)
He builds a lot of intercoms for the guy's here in the Cape. At the moment he has a wireless setup. The base unit is wired into the plane, has the normal inputs for linking to the radio and PTT button but also has cell phone and music inputs. The wireless headsets (battery life of the headset is about 30 hours but each have a 12v port for recharging) have their own PTT as well, so if you are the the back you can still talk as well as volume controls on each headset. The total system which is base unit and both headsets, and charger for the headsets is R5000.

No he is not from Buzzcom. He is a competitor and his products are good.

Hi Bennie
I know a gent who makes them up and they are VERY good you can ask for a interphase to connect your Mp3 player etc. if you like of course. His name is Tom Willis and his nr is0825557692. He is well worth a try and not too expensive either. Real quality, but like I said it is custom made and not everyone is up for that. what I like best is that it has active noise canselling. Duck Rodgers can also speak for him.

Anyone had success with the full face helmets with built - in helmets?
I'd really like a BMW bike - type, where the chin part swivels with the visor and locks into place, ellininating straps.
Can't find the thread with a previous mention.
Comfort, costs?

Try again - full face helmet, sliding visor and chin part (no straps) with built in mike & speaker - microlight helmet (weight) kiddies size or small.
My kid arked nicely whether he should have to share the pax helmet after seeing a muthead hand it back to him.
"Can I start saving for my OWN helmet and headphones please? Get me one and I'll fix you up later".
Anyone else encounter sharing helmet / headsets phobias?
