Faulty Flydat 912

My Rotax Flydat for my 912 (Shows oil temp, cht, egt etc.) has stopped working entirely

It is connected directly to the ignition and usually comes on when I turn the ignition before starting

The LED display of the flydat first started fading like it has a flat battery for about 5 seconds before die-ing completely

We have confirmed that there is power on the flydat and the fuse has not blown

I did blow the fuse 3 weeks ago - But it is replaced :?

Anyone got any ideas?

Who can I take it to for repairs in Jhb/Pta?

check your battery voltage / charging. The flydat needs quite a bit of eletrickery juice to fire up. a low battery voltage / not charging / low engine rpm / idle etc may not give enough power to get the flydat going - even if other instruments & lights gps etc are all working ok.

You were right - Charged the battery and Flydat works again :?

Problem now seems to be battery not charging in flight - New can of worms but at least not the Flydat
